Therapy for Trauma and PTSD

To facilitate recovery from trauma and PTSD by fostering safety, processing distressing experiences, and restoring emotional balance through trauma-informed and trauma-trained therapeutic methods.

Understanding PTSD

When we undergo a traumatic experience, it may feel as if we’ll never feel safe again. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) arising from our past experiences can leave a persistent sense of insecurity and being trapped. We can release painful memories and reclaim a sense of safety through a new perspective and the right skills. We offer the essential theories for assessment and therapeutic skills to support victims of physical and sexual abuse within the context of family and social violence. Whether the trauma occurred recently or some time ago, we can help identify therapeutic methods to release and relinquish painful memories, fostering healing by cultivating inner resilience.

Therapy & Healing

Trauma and PTSD therapy assists individuals in processing distressing memories, alleviating symptoms, and restoring emotional stability. Therapy is tailored to each person, often integrating various approaches for healing. Professional support is essential for recovery from trauma and PTSD.

Common evidence-based treatments include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Somatic Therapy.
