Addiction Counselling
Addiction counselling helps individuals overcome dependence on substances, such as alcohol and drugs, or behaviours, including gambling and gaming, by offering structured support and evidence-based strategies. Seeking professional help improves long-term recovery success. Counselling may involve individual or family sessions, often combined with medical treatments like detox and OAT.
Some key therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), support meetings (AA, SMART Recovery, Recovery Dharma), and a Relapse Prevention Plan.

Mental Health Counselling
Mental health affects our thinking, feelings, and actions. It encompasses our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Several factors contribute to mental health issues, including biological elements like genes, brain chemistry, traumatic experiences, abuse, or a family history of mental health problems. Long-term mental health challenges can influence our thinking, mood, and behaviour. It impacts how we handle stress, relate to others, and make decisions.
Mental health counselling offers professional support to individuals dealing with emotional, psychological, or behavioural challenges. It assists in managing conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress through evidence-based techniques.
